How to get to Bromo
Allow roughly 2.5–4 hours or more from Malang, depending on the hotel’s side and the road. Bromo to Banyuwangi can require a substantial 6–8-hour road day before stops. A sunrise outing and that transfer should not be treated as an effortless single day.
Best time to visit Bromo
Prepare for cold, wind, dust and changing visibility. Access can change because of volcanic activity, weather, conservation or ceremonies. Reconfirm with the park and operator close to the visit.
